How to Use
Select Content
Simply highlight any word or phrase on a webpage that you'd like to understand deeper.
Click the Icon
A floating VocabAI icon appears instantly. Click it to summon the AI assistant.
AI Insight
Receive context-aware definitions, translations, and examples. Saved automatically to your list.
Pro Tip: Click the regenerate icon in the popup to refresh the explanation based on a new context.

Enable Sync
Toggle "Google Sheets Sync" in settings and authorize your Google account with one click.
Auto-Generated
VocabAI creates a dedicated spreadsheet titled "VocabAI - My Words" in your Google Drive.
Review Anywhere
Your words are backed up in real-time. Use the 'Sync' button to keep local and cloud list synchronized.
Note: Sync is optional. If disabled, your data remains only on your local browser storage.
Troubleshooting
Invalid API Key
Ensure you've copied the full key from Google AI Studio. The extension settings will alert you if the key fails validation.
Icon Not Appearing
Restricted pages (like Chrome Web Store or internal admin pages) do not allow script injection. Try on standard news or blog sites.
Sync Failing
Check your internet connection and ensure you've granted the necessary permissions to VocabAI in your Google account.
